My 08 speed has 108k on it and I've had issues with it since 45k. The stock Struts went around 45k and I switched out the struts for some gold konis around 88k. After that the clunk went away for a week they returned just as bad. I had the shop that installed my struts look at it 3 separate times spanning over 3-4 months. They said sway bars and bushings were fine and felt the struts were the issue. While this was going on I noticed my driver's side rear was lower the passenger side about 1/4"-1/2" lower. I took it to another shop for a second opinion and they replaced the sway bars. The noise was better but still there and after a few weeks it turned again in full force. I can not tell if its the front or the rear or both. Everyone who drives it hears it and feels it, but no one can find it. I'm loosing my patience with this issue. I drive a lot and I'm still making payments so I'd like to figure this out soon. Any help would be appreciated.

Tighten rear lower shock mount bolt? Not tight enough will result shock play movement making a clunk noise and hard to detect where the sound is coming from the front or back. Also I read is better to use a 17mm bolt longer than OEM.

I second that. Just installed koni yellows had the clunking in the rear. I used the stock 17mm bolts just re-torqued to about 60 fp and no more clunking. I also did it with car on the ground, kind of hard to get the leverage put it should fix the problem.
