Friend's STI shooting flames

My buddy got an STI last week, and just the other day had the wastegate ported to accomodate a 3.5" turbo-back exhaust. Only other mod is HKS SSQ BOV. Enjoy... sorry for the large file size...

The MSP without cats will backfire a little but I doubt it would shoot flames out of the tail at least not like that. The only way you could make a Speed do that is to get a catless DP and add an ignitor kit to the exhaust. Then when you run rich enough (pretty often) you would spit flame out of the tip. Highly illegal mind you. Not to mention the majority of the forum members will throw the rice flag.

BTW I agree, a very clean vid.

When I had my 3" exhaust on the MSP I shot flames often... not as crazy as the STI, but I had some 2 foot flames on several occasions according to friends.

Ive been told my car shoots flames a few times when it was running rich with the emanage. The evo better shoot flames with the unresonated catless buschur cat-back its getting lol.
