Everyone should take note of the people here with ethics. I would neither buy from nor sell to several of the posters in this thread because I believe they would cheat me without thinking twice.

This is exactly what I was going to post when I finished reading the thread.
You sort of look like me, too... poor fella. :)

Well sowy maybe you should add me to that list! If he is selling for whatever reason, I'am buying!

You're not just 'buying for whatever reason'. You're participating in theft for personal gain and passing the buck to the seller in order to separate yourself from the crime. That's weak and selfish..

screw 'em....keep it. Caller ID is for screening calls. Don't answer numbers you dont know. Unless you signed for it, you're not liable.

So your advice is "steal it and hide". You forgot to say "be sure to get your friends and family to lie for you".

Whether or not you want to call it stealing, it just wouldn't be right to keep it. Its like bringing back the twenty dollar bill to the cashier when you were only supposed to get ten back in change. I'm not surprised that a lot of people said to keep it, but it is too bad thats the way things are in the world.

Let me ask you this, how would you feel if this same company "accidentally" charged you twice for the same product? Would you be pissed? Would you want your money back? It would be cool for them to keep it right...because it was a mistake. Integrity man, call them and do something good in your life. Might be the only thing you ever do right.

Aghh...horse poo.
These companies do this crap all the time.If it was a year ago..Its really their fault for sending it to him.
I would still likely call them because I feel the same way about Karma...But for gods sake...he didn't steal anything.

If he decides to sell it..so be it.
They should have better records and know where they are shipping parts.
Now you are asking this guy to take time out of his schedule to make calls for something he didn't order or ask for...I am sure he will get transferred around to ten people who won't have aclue what to do abou tthis....and it will take forever to get straightened out.
Who is going to pay for his time?

Time is money.

If you didn't get charged for it, that's fraud. And publicly admitting it on the Internet = bad idea.

Call the vendor and explain it to them. I had this happen once -- got two of the same part. Called, they arranged to have it picked up, and gave me a 25% credit for my next order for being honest!

Negative, that is NOT fraud.

thank you!
God enough with the pyschobabble bulls***. i love how everyone is tryin to play jesus right now.

I'd put cash down that says many of these people will, if their car ever goes zoom zoom boom, will be looking for stock parts to put back on so that the dealer would be more willing to warranty it.

Have any of you thought what if you had ordered the DP and it was shipped to someone elses house not yours.. Then you complain to said vendor and they deny you your part claiming it was delivered.

That could be your downpipe and some asshole could be trying to sell it.

You guys should chill out with the "right and wrong" crap. It's the companies fault and it's channahs decision whether or not to return it. Companies make these kinda mistakes all the time and they can't blame anyone but themselves. Check out sites like http://www.fatwallet.com/. Come up all the time and not once has a company requested a return of some sort.

Why should we "chill out with the 'right and wrong' crap"? It is indeed WRONG. No its not stealing and he does not have to return it, but he is keeping something that is not right fully his at the loss of someone else. Obviously its his choice, but 1. its unethical to keep and 2. doing so might end up screwing him over.

Well if you keep it who ever buys it should know that without the adapter plates from turbo x's to run on a stock DP or stock exhaust this part is useless. it does not fit right without them and it will fall off while driving. you can get the adapters free from turbo x's like i did but they'll ask where you got it from and proof of it. if your using their's like me on a stock exhaust and stock DP you need two adapters. if runnin a aftermarket exhaust and stock DP just one adapter. if running a aftermarket DP and exhaust no adapters needed. I took them two and a half months to get mine and i live thirty minutes away from the company so i was lucky i was able to just go pick them up when they finally came in 9 weeks after i ordered them. just FYI. I tried installing it without them and it did work but i had to get special gaskets that didn't seal great and it fit like crap. i installed the adapters and everythin now seals perfect and ait fits perfect. this is why you can no longer buy just the race pipe anymore. without the adapters your selling something to someone that won't fit right or work and i'm sure you'll hear about it.

so basicly you should just send it back. without the adapters for most people buying this to run on stock DP and stock exhaust the part is useless. I do believe in karma. And if someone does buy it when they call turbo x's to get their adapters if for someone reason they find out i don't think they're going to be willing to send them to you.

Second i think you're a idiot for posting this whole story and just asking for possible trouble. a smart person just would have put it in the for sale section and not said anything if you wanted to sell it that bad.

You've all said you piece, told him how you feel and that should be enough. Now stop with the (flame2) guys.

haha damn all the dads on here are about to crucify me! for one its a far stretch to state that i stole it. stealing is taking something thats not yours. i didnt take anything it showed up at my doorstep. big difference. im not sayin its right or wrong to keep it, but its truthfully on them, their mistake. soemone over there isnt do their job too well and if they didnt notice it i doubt its burnin a hole in their pocket.

How about you bought something and it was accidentally shipped to your neighbor, and they decided to keep it? Would it be wrong for them to keep it?
