Free goodies from Mazda...

I know this has been brought up before, but I have good news.
I read earlier about people getting free-touch up paint after filling out the survey from Mazda. Well, that was back in August. So I e-mailed them last Thursday, and received a bottle of paint AND a Mazda key-chain light today. So if you still haven't received yours, e-mail them! I got mine in 2 business days.

I tried to call them last Friday and they had an answering machine message that said "thank you for calling Mazda, our customer service rep's are currently in a meeting, please call back after 2:30 Pacific time." then it hung up on me. Well, this was around 3:30pm Eastern time. So I kept calling back til they closed! No one ever came back from their meeting and what did it have to do with the Eastern call center then?? I never got my "welcome" package that looks like a wheel when you first buy your car. I'm going to try them again sometime this week and they had BETTER send me SOMETHING damnit. I was cursing their name all day Friday and then when my amp went out, cursed them again and when my car didnt get traction in the snow yesterday and had to get out and push a few times, cursed them yet again.

Man it's just a little paint and a dang keychain. Now that I think about it I got the paint and I didn't get the dang keychain.

I want my Keychain...now....im gonna raise hell Mazda if I dont get my keychain. Damn you! Its the reason why I bought my speed. j/k...seriosuly, I would like that keychain.

whats mazdas addy? also, what do u email them saying? "GIMME A FREE BOTTLE OF PAINT AND THE KEYCHAIN!! OR ELSE..!" ?? haha..

I hear bomb threats work nicely.. (jk) lol You'll clear out the call center and the rest of us whiny asses wont get our stuff.

I unexpectedly got my free touch-up paint today, but no key chain. I'm happy with just the paint though, it's more than I expected.

Mazda has a email form you can use on their website. I'd recommend using that, even if you do have a direct email address for them.

I got my MSP in July and just last week I got the touch up paint, but it was partly open and all stuck to the inside of the package grrrr

The best way to do it is call em and tell em you wanna register your car with them. You'll need your VIN and personal information. Call them at 800.222.5500 and wait til the Mazdaspeed prompt and talk to a MS rep.

The paint is nice but trust me, that keychain is NOTHING. I promptly threw mine in the garbage - would have kept it if I actually thought anybody would want it.

Actually, I just went to the Mazda North America website and clicked on "contact us". In the e-mail, I said that I had purchased my car back in August, and asked if they had received my completed survey shortly thereafter. I also said that I had heard that other owners had received a complimentary bottle of touch-up paint for completing the survey. I asked if this deal was dealer-specific, or should everyone get one. 2 business days later, it was in my mailbox.

Now, I know a little bottle of paint is no big deal, but the closest mazdaspeed dealer is 1 1/2 hours away, and would have to be ordered to get here locally. As far as the key chain, yeah, it's one of those little blue-lighted jobs with a mazda logo on it. It's about the size of a quarter. It looks a little too flimsy to carry everyday, and we already have remote door locks, so we don't really need it. But I collect crap like that, and put it in my box of other stuff.
I just figured a polite enquiry wouldn't cost a dime, and take no time, so there you go!!

(oh, you'll need your vin number when you write!)
