okay, well my friend told me this, but i never thought about it. okay, so its ONLY about a dollar worth, so wut? but for me, anything free is good hehe.

well after u fill up gas, most of us just put the nozzle back where it belongs. well, after u fill up, leave the nozzle in your gas tank opening. the hose connected to the nozzle, lift it up high as possible letting all the extra gas drain into your tank. know what i mean? because when u fill up, the hose usually hangs in an arch, catching extra gas. if u lift the hose, the extra gas can be used. idk, my friend told me this and it made sense. any comments? flames? haha thanks! - chris

Wow. :D I'd try it but I'd feel like a complete idiot doing that. Then again, I'm not paying like $2 for gas as some people are here in the states.

thanks derrick :) yah gas here... boy! $2.08 for 89 :( - chris

I think the most we had here is 1.59 or so for 93. When I travelled to CO, I think the most I paid was like 2.59 for 89 on the way back.

i have also heard this, but isnt there a checkvalve that would create a vaccum not allowing the gas to escape. I have heard never just buy a few gallons of premium bc you will also get about a 1/2 gallon of what ever was in the hose.

BTW 94octane here is about $2.10

DOH! I never thought of that. I have let the nozzle sit for awhile after pumping to catch the last drops.

I thought we were supposed to be using 93?? Can I start using 89?

I have been using 89 or 87 (depending on the gas station I fill up at) for the past two years. I have had NO problems at all. The only difference I noticed, was the amount of money that I was leaving at the pump every week or so. :D

According to my copy of Microsoft Money, my monthly expense used to be an average of $90 a month for gas when I was using premium... now it is an average of $70. So that means that I save about $240 a year using regular.

I have a 1.6L '00 Pro.

haha sometimes 87 is $2.25 here it sucks. Maybe I'll hold of on that turbo project to save gas money. lol

I do that alot, but not that extreme. There is a shell station here at the college and Pump #5 is broke or something. Whenever I need gas I always go to this pump no matter how long the line is. The reason being is because (this only works if you pay first) when it hit's your limit, say $15.00, the money counter will stop, but gas will slowly trickle out. Yeah, it's barely dripping out, but I usually hang around for about 5 mins or so. It might be a complete waste of time, but instead of 3/4 of a tank, I get a whooping 7/8!!

...I have no life....
