i was wondering has anyone tried to organize a forum meet? find a meeting point equal in distance for all states and every one on this forum meet there on a sunday? that would be pretty cool, everyone could tag there car so we could see who is who and finally put a face with the name. hold a BBQ, car show, and if there is a track close by we could even have some match ups. i would like to organize this and maybe sometime around march everyone can make arangements to attend........some feedback please and the possabilities if you believe this is capable of accomplishment. and your insight how to make it work. (moderators included)

It has been suggested before. Its a big thing...LOTS of planning. I planned an all car all Florida meet and ended up having over 300 cars and 400 people show up..almost got kicked out of the park we used in Miami...blah blah. I undershot how many people would show by A LOT. lol. Needless to say Im sure if you wait around long enough something might happen.

meet there on a sunday?

just an idea... it would probably be best to have the meet on a saturday... that way friday night when people get off work they could start driving. have the meet saturday then everyone could drive back saturday night or sunday morning... depending on how far it is forever one.... just an idea...

sounds good to me, (drive) all day... (friday) all night

or....do it on a long weekend...WHoa..May24 weekend would prolly be a good date. You guys celebrate that in the states right? I think you do, I dunno though. Then, it gives you some time to plan..the best place to have a meet if you wanna do some racing would be a track, and if you get enough interest, tack fees per person would be very minimal, then you could race, show cars...BBQ, chill etc, and thats all cool with the track...you'd prolly have to have track officials inspect all the cars racing for safety purposes etc...but thats normal. You'd also have to consider with the BBQ stuff like, who eats what(Ie, non meat eaters for religious reasons, or personal reasons and such) and then you'd have to consider the cost of the food(which could be covered by fees to show up etc) it would work out really well, I can tell you that now, it'll just be a lot of planning..you'd prolly wanna get some other people to help...ie and accountant on here to help with the organization of $$$$, and such...but I think it would be great..and if I could make it..I'd prolly show up..I'd like a nice long drive...it'd be good for me(and the car)

it would be awesome though...and like I said, a track could handle a large number of people....I dunno, I think a race track would be better than a drag track...cause these cars(mazdas in general) are more handling ept than straight line...that being said, many race tracks also have quater mile tracks...and we could probably use both

tonight i will do some home work and research and pull out my atlas and see what i can figure out and any help would be appreciated . but most of all we need to find a date that everyone agrees on. but i'll do some calender searches and atlas mileage tracking and think of something and i'll post the results and then we can put our heads together and find a happy medium....keep'em comming..more ideas
