Howdy All,
Went to the Fort Worth Auto Show Thursday, Nov 6th,
wanted to sit and check out the CX-5 again and also
the new 2015 CRV.
I have to say I'm still in love with the CX5 and I keep
trying to wait Patiently for the 2016 to come out. We sat
in the GT version several times, we'd go and sit in over
brands and then always come back to the CX5. The
Mazda Spokesman Luke who we'd met last year was
there again, and what a neat young guy, always
had time for any question, always eager to show
the new features. He was really proud of the new
3 version with the Heads Up Display, talked us
through all the features and have to admit, I'm
hoping some of the features make it on the new
upcoming CX5. I'm not a fan of the HUD, but am
sure others will love it.
I do have to say that the new 2015 CRV was very nice, they
really stepped up their game after the older version. So much
so that I'm going to have to give it a test drive. Before this
version it wasn't even in question but after checking it out
and sitting in it, and seeing all the features on the new Touring
Model was a game changer for me. On the other hand, I have
to say, the people that present the Honda's there are from
local dealerships I think and they are truly outmatched by
the Mazda Presentation Team. This was the second year they
didn't have any power to the CRV, so last the seat was so close up
that I couldn't even get into the vehicle, finally one of the salesmen
came over to see what everyone was laughing about saw the seat position
and popped up the hood connected the battery cable and moved the seat back.
then disconnected the cable so nothing else work. This year at least they had the
seat back but they'd had the battery disconnected again and they couldn't get the
lifegate to open since as the lady said, It was open yesterday and someone closed
it???? It was like that's one of its main selling features. Not a really good impression
was set.
So, does anyone have any good guesses or info on when the 2016 Version might
be available here in the States? I know the LA Auto Show is the 19th, so hoping
someone on here will be able to make it and give us an Update on things.
