just reminded me - theres a kid at hess whos looking at wolfsburg jettas and such - looking for a nice ride to mod. i told him about yours, he seemed interested enough to take a look at it and maybe a drive.

around 6'0" white kid, almost shoulder length blonde hair, no glasses, maybe 220lb.

No, I didn't. I feel weird approaching people with "Want to buy my car ?" randomly, haha. I may just get some gas at Hess and hope he sees the car, haha. Are you up at RPI yet, or still waiting for the year to start ? I go up to the "student garage" every once in a while. RPI is full on Subie territory, it's funny.

Side Note: Is there a BPV set-up that you reccommend for your FMIC kit ? I'm considering a few options, and wanted to know if you feel any certain ones fit best. (I have the Perrin FMIC) If not, no biggie. Thanks

haha i just approached a guy at autozone to offer him my old car... he made a reasonable offer, im considering it.
im going back to RPI around 1am today. girlfriend comes back from south FL tomorrow for better or worse...
and i warned you about the scoobie territory back when you were selling the WRX injectors. seriously if we need any sets, i personally know 4 people who own WRX's and there's 3 more within 2-3 blocks of me. its ridiculous.

No, I did not play with enough BPVs to solidly recommend one over the other.

I have head good things about the Forge. I liked my TurboXS, and they had models to recirculate as well...

i run the forge OEM replacement (no IC though). works fine but i get turkey with my setup... no surprise there.

Cold stuff there, haha. I have a Perrin Signature Series BPV laying around, and run a turboXS RFL right now. Getting annoying. People seem to like the Forge, but I'm thinking bigger than 1" diameter would be nice.

I live like a 1/2 mile from RPI, so I went to a few auto-cross events @ the school with a friend, and met probably 5 or 6 guys with WRX or RS's.

oh you want to count RS's? and you only ran into 6? geez if i count RS's theres at least... 7 total impreza's within 3 blocks. plus two other kids i know. its absurd.
i almost ran one of the autocrosses, im glad i didnt... i just swapped my front motor mount and it was in 2 pieces. i havent autox'd before and didnt want to beat the MSP too bad until i was a little more comfortable with it.

When it gets warmer out, we'll have to cruise.

when its warm? psh no way when its cold. i dont have the money for an AFC or a nice IC, so i think i gain about 30whp when its like 15 out. let the car idle to operating temp and it pulls harder than my old 3.8 S/C grand prix. between the frozen IC, the extra-dense cold air... im running a 13 second 1/4.
i might have you take my car out for a spin though, after doing the MM, it feels way different when im accelerating, and not only in a good way. it kind of sounds and feels like the clutch is groaning trying to carry the load. ill PM you tomorrow and explain.

Hahah, sounds good. Yeah, the cold air leans out the stock tune a bit, and i'm sure gives a boost of power, awesome. Shoot a PM whenever. I'm going to the student garage at RPI on Saturday to install the Split Second AFC I just bought....so i'll be around.
