Ok it's about time for that WGA exchange I've been asking about..
Tell me if I have this right?
the stock MSP boost is controlled by the stock WGA set at 6 psi if functioning correctly. From what I understand the Forge WGA is set around 8 psi.
So would upgrading my WGA which I have to do anyway also be upping the boost to 8 psi? So in turn increase my HP?

yes. you will be running 2psi more boost which means more power. Not much with an otherwise stock setup, but a little bit more then stock.

there is also another WGA sold by ATP Turbo for around 60.....i think Rush is using one......i think is the same used in the SR20DET

The WGA upgrade isn't for the PSI, it's do to the a WGA giving me issues, causing fuel cut. The added 2 PSI of boost is merely a bonus!!

its a pain to replace the wga too...be warned haha

I dont know if you have to set the arm to a certain length or not I just winged it

The good thing is that I have a bumper to bumper warranty that this is covered under. Usually I do most of my car work myself, but I figured I'd take advantage of the warranty, and do the WGA, My oil leak, and motor mounts all at the same time in the same ticket. Also I can have the work done at PG which means they will cover whatever parts PG carries, So I get to upgrade on the warranty dollar!! Forge WGA, AWR mm, and what ever the oil leak needs.

The Forge WGA can be had in whatever psi you desire, 5-24. Mine is supposedly stock boost, I haven't been able to drive the car much to know for sure. Also they reccomend the compressor housing or IC piping be tapped for the vac/psi source...

how can you change the psi rating on a wga? through the length of the actuator arm? and how do we know what to set it at for each applicable psi level?

I've never heard anything about changing actuator arm length. i guess changing the length would change the leverage against the spring, but doesn't seem to me that would be a practical way to adjust boost level.

I do all the adjusting electronically I was just wondering I guess if it should be at a certain length, I dont think so considering im still driving and maintaining steady levels meh

but anyways to answer zuku, the answers are yes and yes (technically)

Great!!! Does anyone know what the spring rate that comes with it is? I thought I read somewhere 8 PSI but I can't confirm that. Ideally It would be set at 8 or 9 PSI, and I won't have to deal with a boost controller, I don't plan on doing forged internals or anything, so I know 10 PSI is walking the line of danger!! So keep it at 8 swap all the external s*** out, and I'm making power baby!!

You can order whatever pressure you want stock or anywhere from 5-24psi...

Are you saying that I have to order a pressure?? there has to be a spring already installed on the WGA out of the wrapper off the shelf right?? what is the pressure that is comes with without ordering a upgraded spring?

found this at forge webpage:
This actuator is designed for the Mazda Speed Protege.

Manufactured from Billet aluminium, this Forge adjustable actuator is a two part assembly that will allow servicing and mainteinance. It also allows for rod adjustment to suit the customers individual application. This product is built with a predetermined actuator spring suitable for at or slightly above factory boost levels. The actuator can be assembled with a stiffer spring upon request. Please contact us directly concerning this process.

if I remember correctly, the standard setting for the forge is 8 psi. (im at work on a crappy low bandwidth connection or I'd go check) but I think it mentions it on corksports site.
