Forge BPV and BOV whats the difference??

Looking to buy a BOV or BPV for my MS3 (lotta acronyms).

Anyway the forge bpv is a recirc vent to atmos(I think), and an 10min. OEM replacement, thats as far as I know about the BPV.

Now a blow off, I know what its function is.. But FORGE claims thats also a recirc?!?
Their both going for the same $$$ at protege garage, and nobody there can tell me the difference ??? (Didnt ask ken)

This is my first Factory turbocharged car, and I the best thats out there for it, and I know the stock plastic BPV isnt all that...

Spread some knowledge and gimme suggestions on whats the difference?!?

The BPV recircs yes. It does not vent to atmos or it wouldn't be a recirc. A rcirc vents into your intake. the forge BOV is a VTA meaning vent to atmosphere. Your not going to want to run one of those on this car.

for the best running conditions, stick with the bpv. if you want sound go with a bov. if you want the best of both worlds, get the turbosmart hybrid bov (50% recirc and 50% vta) ... only issue being, it costs about twice as much as the forge.

i would have gone with forge if i didn't go with turbosmart !!!

Agreed I have a hybrid blow off that I run in full recirc mode because it causes a hell of a lot of backfire in VTA.

boost_me...ever in Queens? I'd like to hear that Forge as I'm in the market for a bov/bpv as well. It's just kinda hard to decide when you listen to them online thru videos.

If you want to hear it in person sooner you can always take a ride down to where I live in Jersey. I live right next to Staten Island, so you can't be that far away.

i run a turbo xs hybrid (price does blow) but as far as surging or backfiring it barely burps once out of 20 times every so often , I can live with it. as far as it's value , simply useless until more boost comes my way in way of keeping a good seal, but it sounds pretty cool (definately an impulse buy and not thought out)
