forge bov not loud at all!!

Hey guys i just installed my forge bov, and i can't hear it at all while driving, all i hear is the turkey still, i'm basically stock with just an intake. I did not install it with the forge installation kit but rather my own custom install, I'm pretty sure that everything is tight. I can feel it venting out the air while revving it from under the hood but there is no noise coming from it.

Any one have any ideas as to why i am not getting any sound.

Thanks in advanced.

what vacuum line do you have it hooked up to and how many other things do you have hooked up to the same line? does it have an adjustment screw? my greddy type-s has a screw - it could be turned all the way off. also you maybe have a vacuum leak.

here is a pic, I ordered the forge kit today once i get that i will use their stuff for the install but until then i used some zip ties to make it tight.

matthew, i did not see any screw for adjustment.

change the feed for the gauge.
that might be causing low boost on bov end.

for the gauge, tap into the little vac line that comes out of and into the head.......back side of the engine, close to firewall.
best source for the gauge.

I will begin with the fact that the valve connection outside diameter is 25mm versus the 19mm connection of the upper intercooler hose. It looks as if the hose you are using is a constant diameter which would be very difficult to tighten the intercooler hose side with a zip tie. I would imagine you have a nice boost leak occuring at that connection. Our kit includes the 25mm - 19mm silicone reducer hose so that both connections are snug as you slide them on. Then the clamps make sure they are secure. Hope this helps.

Installed the BOV a couple of days ago. It doesn't seem to be loud at all. Then again, my exhuast maybe covering the noise of it all, using the catless Corksport exhaust with silencer. How loud is the BOV supposed to be? Also, I used a 5/16 - 1" hose clamp on the boost line. It might be leaking there but it seems pretty tight.

Can't decide on whether or not I should replace the stock bpv with a forge bov or run a dual set-up (stock bpv w/ HKS SSQV). I'm also running an Injen right now if that makes a difference. I want to try the Forge but there seems to be many more people who have installed the dual setup with good results...

I heard that the INJEN makes the BOV's louder. I've heard that the dual setup works but the forge unit (BOV or BPV) is a direct replacement. You don't even have to change the vac lines.

Who are the two MSPers running the Forge BOV with the Samco Silicone Intercooler Pipe? Are you running the Injen too, and if so what does the new blowoff sound like?

I have run the forge for the last two months... I will go back to the BPV and BOV (turbosmart megasonic) because my car run too rich that cause backfire sometimes (in hot weather condition)
