I know some might think it's a blasphemy to put Ford parts on our 2's, but since our cars are a team effort between Mazda and Ford, why not?

Here's the kit:

You can have it from really low at 220$ here:

What the kit look like installed, not the greatest pic but keep in mind that the Fiesta is having the same terrible wheel gap as the 2:

What do you think about this kit? From what I have read on the Fiesta Faction Forum, drop is minimal but ride qality is excellent and turn flat. Not razor sharp, but a huge improvement over OEM setup.

Maybe if I take the shocks, sell the springs and buy a H&R Sport spring set...? (nana)

These are only passing thoughts.

Nothing adjustable? No dampening or height adjustment? Scrawny rear shocks. You are stuck with what Ford thinks you want (after a review by their lawyers).

While the Fiesta is similar to the M2, Ford put a mother of a front swaybar (+4 mm more than the M3) on the Fiesta with no rear bar to balance it. It would seem like that would be a recipe for 'push' or 'plow'. On the flip side, the price is right especially if you add swaybars.

I have a Fiesta front bar waiting to go on the M2 and a pile of steel to make a rear bar to balance it.(drive2)

I keep thinking that the dampers are just stock M2 pieces.

Yeah, based on nothing but pure speculation, I have a feeling that the whole handling package might just be stock M2 stuff. Hard telling not knowing, it's so cheap someone should pull the trigger and find out!

That would certainly PO all the Siesta owners if their handling package was OEM Mazda 2<LOL>

while i applaud that you are investigating some less expensive alternatives to upgrades on the mazda2, i see one fault with this package - the fiesta is heavier by about 200lbs-ish. so, "IF" the package even fits the 2, my guess is that it won't lower it all that much. (if at all) that package "MIGHT" improve the handling, but you'll likely still be riding like a 4x4.

By the time you divide that 200 pounds across all four tires it shouldn't change much.

50lbs is a LOT when you consider the extent mazda went to lighten everything on the 2. plus, the weight distribution is probably 60-40, so that would make it 60lbs on each front wheel - at least! remember, the fiesta has a heavier, bigger engine, too.

i wouldn't do it. but, then again, i'm not you.
