For those with the Erebuni P5 spoiler

How is the fitment on your spoiler. From the outside it seems to line up perfectly, better than I had anticipated. BUT, the holes that the screws go into dont line up at all. I can get a maximum of two screws in(the left two when your looking at the spoiler from the back)...But then you cant even see the threads thru the other two holes in the hatch...(shrug)
I really wanna put the spoiler on though, so i guess my only option is to dremel out the holes in the batch and use bigger washers (sigh)

if they are not even close dont dremel the current ones bigger, just drill new ones completely.

eh, they are kinda close...one you can partially see thru the hole, and the other is JUST off. too far to squeeze the screws in, but not far enough to justify drilling new holes.

I mean the have metal threads fiberglassed into the spoiler which is the only way its gonna be secure, and i cant put more in myself.

oh, nm...I see what you mean, drill new holes in the hatch...yes, i might do that...I will inspect it some more later, but i just want to do a test fit to see what I was dealing with before I paint it.

hey man hit Ghost up because he has the wing. I had it too but in a rush for nopi last year the cheapo body shop I used cracked the wing installing it. It was already painted and everything. Just be careful. I think they drilled new holes for mounting mine. But once mounted be carful not to tighten to hard as that is how they cracked my wing.

yeah, i know better than to tighten it too hard...the thing is very very lightweight fiberglass. All it needs is a good rubber seal around the edges, some good rubber washers around the bolt holes and about 12lb/ft.

But If im drilling new holes I wanna make sure i do them so the spoiler lines up PERFECT.
B/C i have to admit that though it did fit better than i had expected, it could be a bit better. The less-than-perfect exterior fit is due only to the holes. WHen they are lines up its a bit off. But if I position the spoiler the way I want it and drill two ne holes it'll be PERFECT.

I had to drill two holes and dremel one. No probs, did your wing not come with drill guides? Drilling holes is no big deal, if you go back to stock, they'll be covered by the stock wing. Just make sure to use some touch up paint to seal any raw metal. BTW, ghost had a shop install his, so he probably wouldn't know.

My wing came with four plastic strips with a raised hole in the middle. P5rally has mine now, well at least the two I could find.

so basically to tell you where to drill a new hole?

I dunno...i bought the wing from someone else, not directly from erebuni, but it is new, unpainted, and was still in the plastic...I'll go check.

Yeah, you could probably do the same with a piece of thin cardboard or cardstock. Poke a hole in the middle, line it up over the hole, LIGHTLY tape it to the bottom of the wing, line the wing up on the car, tape the cardboard strips to the car, carefully pull the wing off leaving the strips taped to the car, drill the holes through the center hole in the strip.

well, after further inspection of the box, it did come with the drill guide strips AND 4 foam washers for around the holes. GREAT

Well, now at least you know how to use the drill guides. I couldn't figure it and had to call erebuni (hand)
