For those that painted their interior door handles..

Two more pictures.. One of some good detail on the center piece and then another of all of them after two coats of clear. I didn't use a flash so I could show how shiny they are!

I missed quite a few spots on the handles.. Sucks cause I gotta go back to step one and redo them. Oh well, it should only take a few hours. I don't work for the next two days so it'll get done by then. I figured I had to either sand it all down cause they had already been shot with clear, and then restart all of it.. Or I could try using the blue over the clear.. Tried the latter and it doesn't work. So I get to redo all of the handles. Oh well. I'm more concerned that I'll run out of blue. I'm running low.

i can't wait to see the finished product. i would like to attempt this, but i want to see and hear how it turns out. looks great so far.

The best interior paint job I have seen to date would be Hihoslva's P5. His looks sweet. I just don't have the balls to paint my interior. I would be afraid of screwing it all up. I did see a Saleen yesterday with a nice interior paint job. That thing was sweet!

I'm about to go start repainting the handles right now.. Other than that, I'm done. PICTURES!!!!!!!!!

I think it looks f'ing amazing. :D It turned out way better than I thought it would. I will admit I was so afraid I'd f it up somehow really bad, but it turned out great.

sweet.. i wouldnt mind doing that.. but id get my good friend(painted my kit) to paint them with the extra paint he has from my kit.. i want to get that fiberglass dash .. but thats to much work. carbon fiber would be better, u dont have to paint it

see this proves that it's worth it to take your time with things.. and make sure you do them right the first time. awesome job :)

Wow, that looks super nice. Same color as my interior. :D I didn't like the clearcoat that i put on mine, it was crappy, and started rubbing off and turning brown, so i stripped it and just left the blue. I'm sure you got a better clearcoat than me though :)

haha.. All hail $3.99 clear coat from Pep Boys!!!!!

wscottl is right. do the gauge surrounding. now all you need is to get into the GB for the leather seat covers and order some blue suade for the doors panels off of ebay and your all set........ :)

I am going to get some Katzkin leather seats.. But I won't be in the group buy. I won't have money until that's over, most likely.. And I'm somewhat wary of the blue they have. It looks almost periwinkle in color in all of the pictures I've seen, whereas the Katzkin leather has a more royal tone...

Oh well. I thought about painting the gauge surround but..
1.) It'd throw off the balance of color in the car.. I'd have to do something on the other side to even it out..
2.) I don't have any more blue paint. I ran out just as I finished the handles last night. :)

Oh, if you meant the DaveB gauge rings I have.. Those will never get painted, lol. I love them just how they are.

All done. I'll probably do a How To pretty soon on it..

Good job. I just started mine last night. All i could do was start sanding the paint off. I got the KRYLON FUSION paint in yellow. I am painting all of the same pieces as you do except I am also doing the piece around the gauges on the outside. I also got a can of KRYLON CLEAR COAT so the paint won't have a chance of chipping. I hoe mine turns out as well as yours did.

Just make sure your prep work is good and it should turn out just fine.

For what it's worth.. I probably spent 12 hours just sanding pieces and stuff.. or resanding cause I had to fix something... That's what took me so long.
