For those of you running two-stage boost

If I wanted to run two stages of boost with an EBC, say at 6/7 lbs and 9/10lbs, what kind of spark plugs would I use? Kind, not brand, don't need this to be another argument over which brand is better, more interested in one step colder and what not.

Also, if I'm running at 6lbs for everyday driving, would there be any consiquences for running a forge/ATP WGA since they are generally made to allow 8 or 9 lbs of boost? How would that affect how the EBC(set to 6 lbs) and WGA work together?

Lastly, would I be right in saying that I couldn't use a dual stage MBC with an on/off swith and run a 6 and 9lbs boost combo since the aftermarket WGAs allow more boost? Or could I run the on side at 6lbs and then when I turn it off be running about 9lbs because of supporting mods(WGA, SMIC, 3" Full Exhaust, Hardpipes)? I'll be running a SSAFC, does this come into play with any of these concepts or just give the car whatever AF mix it needs with a Supermap?

I don't know anything about the AFC but I do know you can't run boost any lower than what your wastegate is going to be set at. If the wastegate is 8-9lbs you won't be able to run any lower than that. The boost controller won't allow it (the wastegate) to open any time before it is supposed too.

So theres no way to run less than 8/9/10lbs of boost if I have SMIC, hotpipes, wga, and full 3" exhaust? From what I gather from posts is that these all increase boost to anywhere b/w 8-10 lbs.

Any way to run 6lbs and 9lbs on a two stage guys? I've tried the search button, but got nothing. Can I modify the arm of the WGA longer/shorter to lower it to 6lbs and then use the EBC to get to 9?

Its not that much of a diffrence in pressure so why not just run 9-10lbs all

the time. But if you really want to run an EBC you have to have a WG

spring lower or at your low boost setting.

Stock WGA will allow you to run both of your target psi with a bc of your choosing. I have mine set stock and 10 psi or higher when I want more. Use NGK stock no. 4291 plugs and they work great and show no signs of issues when I check or change them. Stock heat range plug only copper V powers versus laser platinum.

Does forge make a 6psi spring? Can the arm be adjusted to 6psi? What about the adjustable arm for the ATP? I'd rather not shell out the cash for the failure-prone stocker...

I want one boost level for reliability and mpg and one for weekend jaunts. But what are my options for WGA's at 6lbs?

Don't believe everything you read on here or think because it happened to others that its your MSPs destiny. My WGA has 70.5K on it and it works flawlessly. The ATP rod is not adjustable. Green spring is 5-10 psi for Forge and its rod is adjustable. As far as mpgs go just stay out of or limit the amount of boost pushed and you'll achieve good mileage. Its doesn't really matter what its set at but rather what your right foot does.

The ATP has an adjustable rod that can be purchased seperately and added on.

So the forge can be adjusted to 6lbs then?
