You guys sound like you're getting cam timing and ignition timing confused. The cam gears will in no way remove any of the advanced ignition timing in the new flash. Two entirely different things. also, in regards to the nitrous, it is again ignition timing that causes detonation, not cam timing. Nitrous typically requires that the timing be retarded 2-3 degrees for each 50 hp jet.
What these gears offer is altered volumetric efficiency. The one factor that alters VE more than any other is the Intake Valve Close Degree. By altering this, you change overlap and therefore allow more or less air/fuel into the cylinder. The intake valve close also can create or remove intake runner reversion which saps power too.
In actuallity, you will likely see less of a gain on a turbo motor than you will on a N/A motor. That is because the F/I motor is already more efficient at filling the cylinders.
