if it's the connection to the starter, why did it work briefly when you changed the battery??
best way to see if its a bad alternator is to jump the car and then if the car dies when you take the cables off... your know for sure its the alternator. And then you can get ahold me by pm cause I have an extra alternator from my 02 P5 that will work in yours. Ill let it go for a decent amount as well. Just my 2 cents.
i dont think that works on modern cars.... I haven't tried it on any modern yet. However it did not work on my old 83 monte carlo... Doing that would kill it all the time even with a good bat and alt.
good news just the main fuse so for the 7 dollar fuse and 93 dollars in labor I have a running P5 sitting in the drive way.
Its strange though they didnt put the battery tie down back on....thats not normal is it?
You mean it is just sitting in the tray, with nothing holding it in? Not only is that not normal it is reason enough to take it back and have them fix it.
if the alt. is bad and not charging even if the vehicle does start it will eventually die once the battery is drained, modern or not.
I misread what he was stating. I thought me was saying to simple disconnect the battery once the car is started. If the car stays runnings the alt is good if not then its bad. This does work on some older cars.
hahahaha its ******* dead again mother ****** son of a b****, this time however everything went dim and i lost power what the hell is going on with this thing. Aaahhhggg. want to cry
