Fog light question

No from what i have heard the H3 HID will not in the stock housing without modification. If you want one that will fit you need the H3S IIRC thats what its called its a shorter bulb. I know quite a few people who have modded there fogs to fit H3 HID bulbs.

for H3 to fit you have to mod. Otherwise get H3C, they are smaller and fit. theretrofitsource.com has good H3C bulbs.

be careful with which bulbs you get, H3C are not all created the same.

the ones you want are these:

and, they are VERY hard to find and will cost more than a regular HID bulb. The Retrofit Source does not carry this style. they have the traditional looking HID bulbs.

IF you use the traditional HID bulbs, you WILL have to drill a hole in the back of the housing.

Awesome info. Thanks guys. I wanted to know cuz I had stock fogs and then put the deletes in... I wanted to see how much I was gonna end up spending and if it would be worth it...

There ya go H3C bulbs my bad i was on the right track
I didn't even notice! haha I just typed

Haha its all good man i always forget its a C and want to put S oh well. And yeah like i said before the fogs will have to be modified to make them fit if you choose to use the standard HID bulb i am going to have to mod mine to make it fit.

Not sure of the quality but hey its only $20 and they have all colors

subbing... very interesting.. do those bulbs shown a couple of post above come with the prongs already or would you have to custom put the prongs on there?

depends on where you get them from. note too, EXPENSIVE. this site i pulled that picture from, lists that style of bulb at $120 per pair, for JUST the bulbs.

i've only seen a few places on ebay actually carry that style, and they too were expensive. most places on ebay have no clue those even exist.

Damn... What about fleebay would they have them?

i can almost guarantee you will not get the bulbs i posted from that link.

Okay then my question still arises.. If get a bulb with traditional hid hook ups, can I splice them to put on those prongs?

huh? 99.9% of the available HID bulbs have those same "AMP" connectors on them. the picture i posted just doesn't have them on the wires yet.
