My 2006 Holden Calais had this for drivers door unlock only then remaining doors. Seems to be a rare feature to have 2 stage unlock
Isn't that what 2 stage unlocking is? (scratch)

Yes but sometimes it can also unlock the boot but other times it doesn'tIsn't that what 2 stage unlocking is? (scratch)
On the Volvo you can configure it how you want. 1 click unlock everything or only drivers.
I really thought cars would be more customizable for drivers by now after having the Volvo and after seeing my buddies Mustang that lets you pick your dash colored lights. Not so much.

It does for the button in the handle. Not the remote.I'll have to double-check when I get out to my car. I thought it had "Lock" options in the touchscreen options.

And the Mustang? With 16 color choices for your dash?Volvo is classified as a premium brand hence more customisation
Good question. Hope I don't have to find out (lol)No Commander knob? No button on the door handles? ******* barbarian! Does that thing have airbags, at least?

NopeAnd the Mustang? With 16 color choices for your dash?
It is. Most things start off on luxury cars then trickle down to every day carsI don't think it's a luxury thing. There are just as many options on the Volvo as there are on the Mazda. I just want MORE! [emoji16] Choice of 16 dash colors...i wanted to get a Mustang just for that.
Good question. Hope I don't have to find out (lol)
Anyway, I have tons of lock customizations available.
That's exactly right. I have the 2012 GT AWD. I have the button to unlock it at the rear, should't FOB with tailgate button just act as when I press the button on tailgate?
TO everyone else, sorry for my confusing question.
@SEOR MAZDA that's correct. I have a car with two FOBS with no tailgate button and want to get a FOB with tailgate button and pair it with my car so I can open tailgate from distance and not unlocking the whole car with my actual FOB.
When you say open it do you mean unlock it? You can only open the lift gate on a 2017 model and in any case, why would you want to unlock it from a distance. What exactly are you trying to do?
Then you just unlock the car with your fob and your wife manually opens the tailgateYes I mean unlock it. Well let's say you are far from the car and your remote is in the pocket. Your wife is next to the car and asks you to open the tailgate for a sec to pull something out and you don't want to unlock the whole car but just the tailgate. Well you cannot do it if your remote has only two buttons.
I don't understand the need to only unlock the back. Why would you care about unlocking everything?Yes I mean unlock it. Well let's say you are far from the car and your remote is in the pocket.
