FOB not working or something else

Hi:

2022 CX9 Grand Touring. 25K. Am not sure what the issue is. My FOB is not working at times. Sometimes, I press the lock or unlock key on the FOB. It works but sometimes it does not. I don't think is the battery as I just replaced it, twice. I brought the car back to the place where I bough the car. For sure, it worked there but she tried press it twice both lock and unlock. I tried that too and that worked. However, after I came home, is not working again.

If that happen, I usually press the button on the handle on the door, that usually work. However for the first time, when I do that on the button on the door, that did not work.

1) Don't think is the battery.
2) This happens at times.
3) What worries me is that the fact that this started to happen that pressing the button of the handle on the door is not working. Although I still can open with the physical key and put the FOB right next to the Start button to start the car.

Any idea can cause this? Can the device on the car cause this? Has anyone experienced this?

thanks in advance.

Before someone else asks, what have you done to prove it isn't the battery?

They tend to last 2-3 years in my experience, but should be replaced with good ones and not cheap ones.

Ensure it wasn't inadvertently put into low power mode.

Press the lock button the key four times, then press and HOLD on the fifth press.

Did not pay attention to the surrounding. Well, at home, FOB is working.

Unless the new battery I put in are defective, I replaced it twice with unopened batteries.

Well, I tried it last night at home, it worked. This morning I tried it again from the same spot inside my house, FOB is not working.

please advise

Do you mean “home” as in when you arrive at your house with the car?
And then the next morning the key fob doesn’t work?

If that’s the case, your car battery might be starting to fail.

There are what I presume to be radio dead zones where the homelink garage opener does not work. I have to roll the car back on the driveway a few feet and it will work. It's likely the same with any radio signal.

This is happening not just at home (working sometimes and not working sometimes), this also has happened at shopping centers, and other places. I also have Chrysler Pacifica, Dodge Grand Caravan, Subaru Outback. FOBs always work everywhere. Just this CX9 I'm experiencing that FOB is working at times.

Should not be the battery issue since I have replaced fresh ones twice. The same battery pack works on my garage opener.

Hi:

I think I have tried that, press the lock button 4 time, hold on the 5th time. The red light right on top of the lock button lights up. I believe that gets out of the low power mode. If I repeat that, the light goes out meaning is in Power save mode. I can try it again to ensure it is out of the power save mode.
