FMIC w/ Factory pipes

Well I know that i will need custom work for the pipes coming directly off my fmic, but my neighbor does that stuff all the time. He can hook me up with that. I was wondering if i can connect the custom pipes to the plastic factory ones. That way when i take it to my dealer, i can just switch it on and off with the old one. Is there any way this could be bad. Suggestions?

why bother. An FMIC isnt an easily removable mod really.....

If you want to be able to go back to stock easily, but still have an upgraded intercooler, then a thicker SMIC that fits in the stock location would probably be your best bet.
