FMIC potential problems

Wondering what the potential problems of a FMIC are in the long run. I read a few posts and i couldn't find what i was looking for. I know they are large and often block the radiator. How serious is this in the long run? Also are there any other problems that could arise. Im getting an intercooler and a front mount is what im leaning towards. This is my daily driver and i hope to keep it for at least 6-7 years. If they can lead to serious problems then I will stick with a top mount.

Thanks for any help

I've seen dashhawk logs reporting about 10-15F higher ECT's in traffic/driving, compared to a TMIC. Remember, you're blocking the radiator with a large not so passive intercooler.

There are no longterm Ill effects, the fans on the radiator do most of the work pulling the air through. If you don't believe me people with stock cars go ahead and unplug them before driving on the highway, You will overheat.
10-15 degrees more on the ECT is nothing to worry about.

Im not sure im following. You mean the front mount can cause your car to overheat while on the highway??

no he was saying the fans do the cooling so blocking part of the rad with the fmic wont hurt you,,he was saying to unplug the fans and it will show you it does the cooling not air hitting the rad on the freeway
