I have a Fm transmitter in my 6, I love my music and would kill without my ipod. With that said, I bought this transmitter because it was cheaper than buying and integration kit, from what I could find. When I play my music I can hear the exhaust through my speakers as if I had an exhaust system, this would be ok if I actually had an exhaust system, I would enjoy the sound but I dont. To make matters worse I installed a kicker L5 in the car and it just amplifies the sound. If anyone has any suggestions that I can do to get rid of the sound that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

get an integration kit ;)

seriously, your always gonna have some static from an FM transmitter. even the best ones out there aren't perfect.

If you go to Belkin's (or Griffin?) website, they have a page where you type in your zip code and it tells you what to tune your transmitter/radio to for best reception. Also another trick I've been told it to keep your sound at about 70% on the iPod/MP3 player etc and turn it up via the radio, not the device.

I have the GROM iPod integration kit for my 6, best investment by far. They start at $64.99 for the 3.5mm male to male audio cable for any MP3/iPod/XM/DVD player etc. Mine has the actual iPod plug so it charges my iPod as well. Definitely worth the investment.
