Flywheel

Okay I know of two flywheels that are out. The indigo costs 479.00 but it only weighs 10.5 pounds. The mazda speed weighs 15 pounds but costs only 172.00. Keep in mind that the stock flywheel weighs 18 pounds. What do you guys think is the most cost effective upgrade? I'd have to say the Indigo is the best deal.

there is also a FIDENZA CLUTCH available and i think someone here has it ithink it it luinx......talk to him about that clutch..

I have the Fidanza Flywheel. It is about 8.5 LBS., and I got it for $290 (RR-Racing). That said, it is about a 10 LB weight reduction! I recommend the hell out of it. You will get quicker revs, and you will slow down quicker if you ever need to do so in a hurry.

Hey what's up? I have the Fidanza Flywheel, and ACT Clutch. Have a good one.

The Unorthodox Racing Flywheel in my opinion is overpriced...I know its on the website...but it may not even be available yet...last I talked to the guys at UR they said the Protege 2.0 stuff wasn't available yet...but that was almost a month ago...I really haven't heard much about UR flywheels...just their other stuff...

fidenza flywheel

how much does the fidenza flywheel cost? where did you get it and how much does it weigh?

thanks

 Is a flywheel only a mod that is for 5 speed trannies? I know an auto has the tourque converter but is the converter attached to a flywheel? Wondering if this is a mode for all cars or just 5 speeds.

I had a lightened factory flywheel and Clutchmasters stage 1 on my old 94' Ford Probe GT, and it made a noticeable difference with only a 4lb reduction. Although since the P5 has so much less torque, I figure it will respond very well to a new flywheel... I hope so, I am ordering the ~9lb fidanza next week! Rafi at R-R Racing is who I bought the stuff for my PGT from, good guy...

No one has yet answered this for me. It may seem like a dumb ass question but I really haven't a clue.
