your tank is beautiful.. I have 2 neon tetras (i think that is my favorite fish).. I named one macaroni... the other is cheese..:D
just be careful with the flash.. from what i've been told, it stresses out the fishies.

Thanks! Now all that I need is a powerhead and some live plants!

I just started keeping fish in november...

I had some Taco Bell the other day and took a big carp.

I thought about changing the tank up. Problem is...my first won't die.
I'm going through that.. I've had a tank since my freshman year of college.. and i've been out a few years now. I have had my tank A LONG time and i've grown tired of it. Problem is.. stupid fishies wont die. I'm down to 2 that just keep hanging on...

typically koi stay in a outside pond.

I believe so. They are outside fish. And if you have a shallow pond outside, they are usually bird food unless covered.

Man I wish I had some pictures of my old setups... Ive had to break them down for the time being...

Ive had a ton of fish though.

Silver arowanas (all but 1 sold when they were too big, the other jumped out of the tank :( and they were all cared for at separate times)
Tiger Datnoid
Oscars
Tea cup stingray (I cant remember the actual species, freshwater though)
Black Ghost Knife
Cories
Butterfly groupers ( brackish)
Liver Catfish
Dragon eel
Fire eel
Tire Track eel

Ive had tons more, and those listed were kept @ different times and in separate tanks (for anybody thinking I put butterfly groupers and cories in a tank with oscars, etc.)

My next plan is a 75-120 gal. saltwater reeftank... but thats for when I have the time/energy/money for one.

I had two oscars. One was named oscar the grouch and the other oscar de la hoya.

One jumped out and died and the other got huge and died of old age. I fed it live fish and was the coolest thing to see and then it died and tried to flush it in the toilet. It got stuck and stunk my bathroom like Lake Michigan . It got stuck, and I had to take it out with some pliers by the fins and I thru it out in a garbage bag. I felt bad for 10 minutes but he lived a very good life.

I have a new guy now!!

His name is Ed.
