Fish Tank Pics

nice tank azeli. ill have to get some updated pics of our reef set-up. the most recent pics i have are from november and the tank looks slightly different now.

Some sweet setups. I just have a simple 30 gallon freshwater with 20 little tropical fish.

Oh, and a bright red Beta in a 1 gallon on my desk. Constantly making bubble nests as he is a happy fish.

Last weekend I put some black vinyl backing on the tank. Turned out nice.

(rofl) emo fish...
I don't know about the black gravel. True I haven't touched any of the books. Those are the wifes.

The black background looks a hell of a lot better...The black gravel would also help....The dark color gravel and backgrounds help bring out the natural color a bit better than the lighter....My tank is all tan and brown, so ????? I need to take some pics...Currently a 30 gallon tall, with 2 Electric Yellow and 2 Electric Blue African Ciclids and a Pleco...All fairly small...plus a ton of Texas Limestone....actually about 40lbs...

DEAD THREAD REVIVAL!

Question - is it ok to use stuff from an old fish tank that literally just let the old water evaporate out of the tank? I just got a new 15 gallon tank, and i dont know if its ok to use the old stuff that has like white stuff crusted all over it. Its on the tube of the filter, plants and heater. If i can, how do i get rid of the crust?

white crust is harmless, just left over minerals after the pure H20 evaporated. But probably best to get rid of it unless you're gonna keep hard water fish like cichlids. Use vinegar to help clean it off if need be.

While I'm at it, here are two shots from my 75.

year bump

so i recently "acquired" a 20g tank, that pushed me over the edge to get everything else :). 3 lil zebra danios at the moment while it cycles.

planning on adding an eel, a crown betta, couple of glass fish and maybe a molly or algea eater depending on how the tank handles the load

does anyone know of any plants that require very little light? i was thinking Lillis or coffee plants, but haven't found any definitive answer yet

Molly fish like to be in pairs, but whatever you do, be careful not to get a male and female. I have a 30g tank with about 40 fish of all kinds but mostly molly now. ;)

wow how have i missed this thread! I didn't know that there were some fish lovers on here!

I've for a 75gallon all male peacock African Cichlid tank. Its been up and running for over a year.

any yeah be careful of the molly's, they double in numbers pretty fast!

I could have had a 60g tank for free, but I took the 30g all glass tank instead. Just a basic fresh water tank with Molly, Danio, Upside down Catfish, Tetra, Swordtail, some tiny weird sucker fish, and a 8" Pleco.

well thats good to know

i saw a dalmatian molly at the store and really liked it, but my tank is not big enough to house them should they get busy
