First time 8 owner, bought during a blizzard!!

I dont know bout your guys experience but park mazda were ****** assholes when I went there. They had two speeds and wouldnt let me test drive either likely because I look like a young kid. I told them I was a R.N. and make about 50k a year but they were like not until you basically sign the papers. I was like wtf if I sign the papers the damn cars mine tards. I went to another dealer same experience at cascade even worse. The sales man wouldnt even talk to me and said there was no way I could test drive one or a wrx ( not even the sti !!!) and they had a used ms3. I almost was bout to give up and just go get a mustang or somthing when I called the guys at kent mazda. They were so nice the dude didnt even look at my license before letting me take the car out lol and he was encouraging me to drive aggresive lol. I had a friend who had similar experience not sure what dealer wouldnt let him drive a evo x but said he could take out a brand new corvette wtf. Speed3 and evo arent no damn jags or bently's.

Right now, I would think a dealer would bend over backwards to try to sell a car; but, I guess their experience has been that young fellows come in, drive the piss out of their cars, and never buy one. Most kids don't have the money to buy a new or newer car and still live at home with mommy and daddy. Heck, we found out when we were trying to sell our Mustang that most folks can't afford a car over $10K! When I was looking to buy a Roush, I asked if any young kid had run the piss out of the car during a test drive. I didn't want damaged goods at the price I was about to pay. So, you kinda have to see their point of view. At my age, they figure there is a good chance I might buy a car because us old folks tend to have money for such things when kids don't. Even I had a salesman with me for the test drive of the Roush. I usually don't for lesser cars.

Exactly, I've never in my life been denied a test drive. With or with out a salesperson. Most of the time if it was a new car then they may accompany me. Almost 90% of the time it was a solo trip in a pre-owned. Ya know, age is not really a factor in how people test drive their cars. Especially "sports" cars. Some salesmen have even told me to drive the car hard to really feel it.

I love going in to dealers and coming out with some job offerings. lol after 3 hours and more than 6k off sticker price they want me on their side lol. Thats all before economic sucked. Last time I got a car in the dealer was on 05. I rather buy from a private seller.

Yeah, I know what you mean about the good feeling of getting a bit off the sticker. On our -8, we got over $700 off sticker. That was our starting point. The Roush was close to $10K off sticker. Maybe I could have done better on both cars; but, I left the dealership thinking both sides of the transactions were happy. I find that working with individuals can be OK, if the person is honest. Oftentimes, that isn't the case any more than dealing with a used car lot. For sure, the price may be a bit better, though.
