First ROTATION!!!

In more ways than one :D

My boy "helped" me out on this one . . .

Got 4114 mi on it, but as soon as it rained this time I've been spinning at startup  -- so I guess I'm on a 4k rotation schedule now. I was floating between 3k and 5k on my last few vehicles (my ION actually ATE tires for some reason).

Did it "by the numbers"; pressure, pop the lugs (by hand), drop it on jack stands, wheels off, front to back, back to front and swap sides, then on, finger tighten with star pattern, wrench tighten with star pattern, drop the vehicle, hand tighten to ~80+ ft lb.

Handles nicely - I liked the difference in tread-depth from front and back . . . was a good time to do it.

Now, questions:
1) Can anyone recommend minimum clearance on jackstands? I was using my high-rise that I had for my CR-V and MAAAAAAN was that a long ways. (A new 6 looks badass lifted though :D :D :D CX-6 anyone? )

2) What PSI are you guys running at?
Door jamb said 32; took them down from 36 (pretty sure they were 32 in cold weather). I ask because I used to go higher than recommended on other vehicles, but noticed at much higher speeds that the tires would wear more in the middle (fine if you keep it under 55).

It was more work than the money it would cost to have someone do it . . . but I lost 2 bearings on different vehicles due to 'professional' shops over tightening lugs, and had more than one rotation where they couldn't figure out which tire went where . . .

Now, if these guys did ANYTHING ELSE other than tires, I'd say it wasn't much to worry about, but when that's all you can do to be employable and you can't do that right . . . oy.

Hehe guess that's it.
