Mazdaspeed Protege #1460
Hello. I've been a member of www.protegeclub.com for a while now and finally decided to see what I can contribute here.

Right now I have (just to name a few things):
Sport-20 body kit on the car with MP3 side skirts and the MP3 rear lip,
PIAA 5.75" foglights,
JDM Clear corners,
17" ASA JS5 Rims,
Carbon Fiber (sim) altezza taillights,
Brembo Cross-Drilled/Slotted rotors,
"eBay" Ram-air intake,
custom 2.5" Cat-back exhaust with a Dynomax muffler and 3A racing chrome tip,
Racing Beat Springs,
a custom painted interior with the Corksport aluminium guage bezel,
and an Alpine .mp3 head unit.

So to let you all know that I'm not some noobie who talks a lot, I'll show you my car, please, any feedback is welcome and I'd love to hear it.

Very nice and clean. I've always loved that bumper. Have you heard about the new turbo kit HiBoost has for you car?

Yeah, turbo that bad boy, give it a little more drop, and you're good to go.

Got any interior shots? I'm interested to see what you did after reading, "Custom Painted Interior" i'm assuming it's just the plastic pieces that come out, but i could be wrong.

nice car. i have a 2000 as well and its nice to a see one done tastefully. HIboost just came out with a VERY good kit for our car that will give it hella of a lot of power. u should definately look into it (that is if your engine is the 1.6, im nto sure what the ES is).
one question. i see ur hood is painted. is that a CF hood or just painted black ?? cuz i have been looking everywhere for an OEM CF hood for our car and its nowhere to be found.

looks nice and clean... now get rid of the 4x4 look. I'm a ride height ***** :D

Alright, well thank you all to the replies so far, I really appreciate the props. Now to answer some questions. First off, unfortunately, none of these pics were taken after I got the Racing Beat springs installed, 'cause I put my snow tires on the car right afterwards. I'm hoping to get the Tokico HPs put on in early March so everything should level out and get rid of that "4x4 look" (liked the comment BTW).

Now for the interior pieces, those are reffering to the center console bezel, the window control covers, and a few other assorted parts, I did them myself so I consider it a custom job. I plan on doing more, but my cashflow, experiance level, and amount of free time hasn't caught up yet. I've attached some pictures to show you what I mean. My future plans for the interior are to paint a little more, fiberglass and paint some parts, re-do the cloth on the door panels to black vinyl, Recaro seats in the front, and re-apholster the back seats. I'm budgeting for about a $1500-$2000 interior job.

The hood is painted black. I originally wanted it to be CF, but have fallen in love with the black. It goes with the flow of the car and matches most everything else. I have been looking at turbo kits for the future and although I like the FMS in the hiboost kit more, I think I am planning on going with the Wagner Motorsports kit. He's about 45 minutes from where I'm going to college, so I can have him install it personally and make it look nice too! Plus, the ES model came with the 1.8L DOHC engine in it and the Wagner kit seems a bit more safe for it IMO.

Right now I'm going to school at the Harrisburg, PA campus of Penn State, but am originally from Frederick, MD.

BTW, good to see someone else know's they're aircraft. It's a Super King Air B200.

I thought at first it was a 350, but I couldn't see enough of it to tell. You fly? I've only got like 150 hours, but I'm well on my way to having my commercial this summer...

sweet ride!

blacking out the headlights would go with the black and white theme. definitely drop it.
sport20 bumper with mp3 skirts and rear.....great minds think alike ;)
