First oilchange.

I remember after leaving the dealer with my P5 late April that they said my first service would be at 8000KM. Now i'm not sure if that meant oilchange either. Should i take it in just for an earlier oilchange? Or do that do that at 8000 also? I'm at 3400 KM now and wondering if i should be changing the oil + filter or what?

I usually change mine every 4500 km. 8000km is the recommended km for you to change your oil. check your manual for maintenance schedule.

Mazda says there should be a maintenance service, which always includes an oil and filter change, every 8000 km or four months, whichever comes first. I plan on following this with my P5. If you're a fan of more frequent oil changes that's your choice, and you can get it done whenever you want.

I know it's good to always follow the dealers advice, that way you can always blame anything on the dealer, but is their recommendation of 8000 kms good cuz with my 2k1 civic and 97 Acura i've always changed it every 3-4000 kms.

I was wondering that question myself a while ago...My car now is at 6000KM.....I called the Server Rep and he said stick with 8000km.....Plus I get 2 free maintence......So for now I'll stick with the 8000km........
