i own a 07 MS6 which is currently stock and was wondering what my first mod should be. At first i was thinking cold air intake but after some reading alot of people say its not worth the money. I was also thinking magnaflow exhaust any guidance would be appreciated .

just grab up an full intake from PG. for 200 bucks you cant beat it. free up some ponies and unleash all those wonderful whistling turbo noises.

who ever said intake is a waste was an idiot. its one of the best/cheapest mods for these cars. couple thast with the turbo inlet pipe and you will deifn feel the incrrease in power. as posted aboce, i recommend the protege garage package. next get a test pipe or down pipe to free up some more ponies.

yeah mounts are a must on this car IMO. i also would highly suggest a weighted shift knob. really makes a nice difference in shift feel. just a lil pricey for what it is. and it wont make ya any faster.

hey ms6zoomzoom, How is your MS CAI?? Ive been considering getting that, the MS suspension, and some upgraded motor mounts just because i still have a 7 year warranty on my MS6 and dont wanna void it. Ive heard alot of good things about the MS CAI and i would appreciate your input as well. Thanks. Anyone have any ideas for performance mods that would void a warranty???.. first exterior mod is deff. gunna be scrapping those amber sidemarkers and going for the black ones.

I have the MS CAI for the same reason of not voiding my warranty. It's amazing :D . You will definately hear the turbo spooling up and the BPV when you let off, as well as extra horses. DO IT!

Were your blacked out reflectors an easy install? and your Red LEDS?? i wanted to do that to go with the red gauges. i wanna do that and the black side markers.. those amber ones throw off the whole front end of the car. They also have a mazdaspeed suspension kit that lowers the car slightly i am interested in.. same reason.. wanna keep the warranty but dont want the car to sit as tall as it is stock.. it doesnt look bad... but would look MUCH better a little closer to the ground.

The MS CAI is simply amazing, it was my second mod and hearing the turbo spool and the the gains I got were pretty great. I'm looking to get a new filter for it though. I'm thinking Amsoil.

I have the MSCAI on as well and it's a nice piece. I would definitely recommend a second filter though, as well as a hydroshield.

Oh, and one other thing. The MS suspension isn't made for the MS6. The spring rates for the lowering springs are for a v6 Mazda6, which is different than our cars. You need a dedicated spring setup like H&R or RPM.

I heard RPM's springs were pretty good and that they have higher spring rates. I don't mind that they'd give the car a minimal drop. I think they will be my next mod.

The reflectors were hell-a easy to install, just a simple get under the car, squeeze the tab, and push out to remove, and for install just slide one side in and pop it in. super easy, maybe three minutes TOPS. Red LED's were a bit longer just because i didn't find where the tabs were, but once you figure that out, same deal, out with the old and in with the new., black side markers were courtesy of a couple layers of flat black paint and a couple layers of high gloss lol.
