Well, I just completed my first mod. With the help of these forums and my brother in law it was pretty easy. I used 4 gauge 1,862 strand wire, this battery clamp , and some gold terminals. The battery clamp was about $35.00, the wire was $2/ft, and the terminals were $1.95 each.
I wired the transmission --> chassis, alternator --> negative battery terminal, engine block --> chassis. I left the stock negative battery terminal --> chassis.
I can feel a slight performance increase, although that may be my imgination. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants an easy first mod. Next on the list is a Kartboy SS.
