First Door Ding

Hey all, I just got the first door ding on my car. My neighboor has a white Camry and now I have a white ding on my drivers side front fender! :wtf:
I'm so mad! My car only has 1,000 miles on it.
Does anyone else suffer the way I do?

Man that sucks!

I am lucky enough to have 3 acres and a big driveway.
I only park in no ding zones.
I shop only in places with big parking lots and park way at the end (Hey I dont mind walking).
At work I get here early and pick a no ding spot in our 15 story parking garage.
There are certain end spots on every floor with 3 ft of space to the right of the car beside a wall. I pull in way to the right and it would be very hard for some one to ding me :)
Not impossible but much less likely to happen.
Yeah I'm freak about my car.(flash)

That sucks! However; there are shops that specialize in dents like that. For about $60 they will make you GRIN again. And; you will never know the dent was there.

i feel your pain. I try to park as far as i can in a public parking lot. I don't mind the walk even if it's - 15 degrees outside. All for the car! :D Anyway, i'm sure it can get pulled out w/o you ever knowing it was there....I'm sure a good bodyshop will be able to do it.
I've got 3 paint chips on my car with about the same mileage on my car....so it's hard to avoid these things. :(
It's all part of owning a car.

Blah I did park far away from the other cars at the time. But someone just had to park next to me. Grrr I wish they were still there when I came home.

People hate going places with me in my car, because they always have to walk. I ALWAYS, ALWAYS..park my MSP in no door ding spots. Way at the back of a parking lot, on a end spot.
At my work, parking is aful, but I still only park in the end spots, over the lines. I have a co-worker friend of mine who I trust, park on the other side of my car. I don't know what i am going to do when I get my first door ding in my MSP, but I WONT be pretty.

Oh yeah! I am the same way. I always park 'way out'. At work there is a row of parking spaces with about 15 slots, and only 4 or 5 of us park there. Very cool! I angle park taking up to 3 spaces. Of course at home; I use my garage.

I got the ding in my appartment garage. I have to park there becasue my MR2 is in my other spot which is even worse then the one the MSP is in.
The thing that really sucks is that I have two door dings on my MR2 from the same people who nailed my MSP! I talked to them, and they said that they would be more careful in the future (Boy, that lasted a few months!). At least both of my cars match now!!! Hahaaa!
I park far away too, don't mind walking. I knew that this would eventually happen, I just wish that I had more then a thousand miles on the car.
But good news travels with bad news. I just recieved my Greddy boost gauge. So when I get time to install it, I'll post pics of it.
Thanks for all the shoulders guys!

i had to deliver some packages to UPS one day. when i got there the whole parking lot was empty so i parked right outside the door. a car pulled up on the left of me with a little girl and a dad. the dad was unloading the car and the little girl went to get a cart. she was walking back and for some STUPID reason tried to walk the cart in between the cars instead of going around the right side of my car where there were no cars at all. i was unloading the trunk when i saw her and i was like, "NOOOO!!!!!!!(in my head)" she was all yippee skippee and wasn't paying attention and the cart hit the front fender of my car.

i immediately ran over to check out what the cart did. luckily the cart had those plastic things on the corners so all it did was leave a scuff that i was able to rub off. there is a very very faint clear coat scratch that you can barely see.

stupid girl. STUPID GIRL!!!
the dad comes over and was like, "oh, did you just get this car painted?" "...uhm, NO you dumbass! it's a new ****** car that i've only had a week. ****** ****!"

well, i didn't say that. i was thinking it though. ahem...
anyway, i've learned that i'll always park far away from doors or in worst cases park next to really nice expensive cars.

"daddy, i don't want to push the cart anymore! boo hooo!!!@#@$"

3 spaces! wow!

i thought taking up 2 was insane..but 3...

lol

ive gotten written up at school for taking up 2 spots TWICE!! haha havent towed me yet tho :) i also park in the back row in the corner hehe MSP pride i guess

I noticed my first door ding today.

It did not happen:
@ work
@ the store

It happened in my own damn garage. I guess my kids are not scared enough of me.

I am guessing, because the wife will not let me blame the kids if "she" did it.

But there it was, dead even with the spot that stick out on the van.

Time to call Dent Wizard.....

taking up 3 spaces on an angle, eh, i've done it. some how, some way, have to figuire out how to take up four spaces! i dont think i can do it linear cause our cars are too short, but uh, taking up four spaces in a square sounds good! as for dings? im safe at school, on my right, an island, on my left, my friend who always parks next to me.

Man my baby got hit by a door at work. Right above the middle of my rear drivers side door where the body humps. I am not sue if it can be fixed but it looks like crap!!

Like everyone else I feel your pain. I am getting out of my car. My friend is parked next to me (drivers side). I open the door and there is ample enough room. Well, I bend to get the food out of my car and as I am getting out a gust of wind sends my driver door towards his mirror and im left with a nasty dent and his is dent free (SVT Contour) and now everytime I look at my car im drawn to that spot.
