First Car, Want new speakers.

Hey everyone , Im a first time car owner and own a 2003 Mazda Protege 5 hatch!

I was just wondering what are the best quality speakers (6x8 / 5x7 ) for the front and best speakers for my rear. I've got around 600 - 700 to play with. I;ve been looking at the JBL - GTO8628 speakers for the front of my car. I don't know if i need to buy a amp to work all new speakers or will my battery be suffice. If anyone could give me a few pointers i'd appreciate it alot!

A 6 1/2 component set will fit nicely in the front doors, but get an amp for them.

Kappa's are bright and harsh (or there smaller variety sure are), for that price look into polk DXi or pioneer even.
best to go and hear them yourself.
as far as amps, what ever you can afford. try and get the RMS ratings close or higher.
If you buy any of this from a shop they can help you out, even crutchfield's online assistants will be able to work specifics with there products
