First, feed all the wire through the hole in the cubby and collect all the slack. Take a coat hangar and feed it from where ever you want the wire to go (in my case the vent). Tape the end of the wire to your coat hangar, and pull. That's about it. There's a good writeup on this by VoiceKoil.
