Finally took the RX7 to the track

Like my other FD it's pretty hard to launch this car. Bog or spin. I started playing with the air pressure in my drag radials and started to get a little bit more traction. At 15psi of tire pressure I got pretty decent hook and pulled a 12.316 at 114.84mph and then backed it up on the next pass with a 12.265 at 114.77mph. I'm pretty happy with the results. Both of the passes was with a 1.9xx 60'. With a better 60' I have the mph to be in the 11's. Practice, practice, practice!!!

No it's not my daily driver but it could be. It runs awesome. The thing that stops it from being a daily driver is that there is no A/C.

Nice. I don't know much about drag racing, but I understand that getting into the 12's (and low 12's at that) with a streetable car isn't easy. And it sounds like 11's are just around the corner. Congrats! (thumb)

I'm running 1 bar of boost right now. Yeah I'm pretty happy overall I would have to say.... Thanks!

what are your mods? I ran 12.8 at 110 running 0.86 bar. My car doesn't like any higher boost, I tried and it lost power, misfired and scared the hell out of me cuz I thought I had fried my motor!

Yup that is the same one. I think the magazine was D Sport.
