Finally lowered!! Tein s-tech with pics

i had made a thread earlier asking on how the s-tech springs are on the MSP here: http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123666038

well the weather was not the best around here and i have finally been able to snap some pictures for anyone else who would like to see how the drop on the s-tech springs is. the front has been dropped nicely but the rear pretty much stayed the same. as for handling, i would say that the car does not feel the same as stock (stiffnes is about the same, but i think it does not handle as responcive)

anyways here are some before pictures from last week just before it started snowing:

so finally it was nice enaugh outside today and all the snow melted so i got to take a few pictures. AFTER:

now all i have to do is wait for my awr adjustable swaybar end links and my engine mounts to come in and thats that for suspension work on my car (alright)

what kind of tires do u have because i was interested of doing the same...I have 225/45/17 ZRI tires and they look like what you have on them too...do you have any problems when it comes to potholes...refering to rubbing and such

im still on my stock tires 215/45/17 but they are pretty bald and im thinking of getting new tires soon (maybe 40 profile?)

i have absolutely no trouble or issues with rubbing and such, only thing that annoys me is that my intercooler pipe scrapes a bit when i exit or enter my driveway...i have to fix tnat soon, other than that im pretty happy with the outcome

You MSP guys realize that the s-techs actually raise the rear of your car, right?

You still get the benefit of a higher springrate, but they give such a heavy rake and uneven stance on the MSP. You can either buy real tokico HPs (the MSP ones are revalved so that they weren't overdampened for the stock springs as well as of course the rear spring perch being in a different position (hence the weird drop height just for MSPs)

Or just take a coil off the rear. Gives the perfect drop been rockingit like that for almost 3 years now and about 40k miles. No complaints though I have K-sports waiting to be installed when I have the time. I'll try to post some pics whenI have a chance.

yeah, but that costs alot more money...... the struts are good struts, if you can live with the raked stance why would you want to buy new ones??

I love the fronts, but the backs are just too high for me. Personally i hope when i'm in the market for suspension upgrades, i can get the mazdaspeed a-spec adjustable struts and mazdaspeed (by eibach) b-spec springs......

did you take the coil off the top or the bottom? I don't remember if it was the front or rear springs that had the flattened out part on them.. I think it was probably the top of the front springs though.

Is there any long term effects on having a rake for long periods of time?
