I love how my life works. I tracked the wheels this morning before work and got that they were scheduled for deilvery.

I roll into work and am chillin' outside the car, playing some w0 Nirvana Mix, drinking coffee, smoking a Camel and my manager comes whipping into the lot. Nothing out of the ordinary. Well, he makes this move like he is playing that he will hit my car. However on a very slick and wet blacktop, he doesn't really recover from this little 'fake out' move. Needless to say, he careens into my baby. I was freaking balistic.

He gets out and is telling me that he is sooo sorry, etc., and I basically tell him not to talk to me for a while. We both kind of cool off and I get the car into the garage so I can assess the damage. The damn driver's door is so out of whack that it won't close.

So I leave it be for a while and start my day. About 10AM, UPS rolls in with some tires and 4 boxes from Rota. So now there is a glimmer of happiness to my day. I went ahead and put the wheels on. I had waited for them for 2 months so damn if they were gonna sit on the shelf while the car is getting fixed. I love them. I wish that they had remembered to send me center caps, but those are on the way. The black lug nuts look cool on them too.

So without further ado, here are the pics of the damage, followed by some of the wheels on the "good" side of the car.

The door was so tweaked that I had to remove the bottom hinge compeltely so that it would latch only halfway.

Rota Goodness. These are the 17x7.5 Subzeros in Royal Black with a polished lip.

48mm offset keeps things just the way I like them. Almost flush with room to drop the car. Tires are 225/45ZR17 BFG G-Force Sports (a nice improvement over the 205/50R17 Goodyear RS-As that came on the car)

So there you have it. I dig the wheels, the car will be fixed, no one was hurt so I guess I am lucky to an extent. I also found out that I was the employee of the month for the region (Carolinas) in February.

Where did you get them? What offset? I've been planning on getting those same wheels. They look great, even if your car doesn't.

edit: I see offset = 48.

I actually was thinking about getting these same exact rims for my MSP. But I wanted to see them on my color car first.

I think it looks really awesome.

Any way you can take some outside pics of the rims? They look kinda dark with your car being inside the shop. Still hot,but I need outside sunny day pics to get a better idea of how they look on your car.

is it just me or do those rims look smaller than stock? i mean i know they aren't but for some reason they look like they are....

The car is parked for now. I have Tuesday off so I will have it out and can take some "daylight" pics.

As for them seeming smaller than stock, the polished lips on darker wheels often give that effect. Given the roads around here, my goal was to stay with a 17 and gain a wider wheel for better rubber.

i think your car is begging for 18s and a drop...and your boss sucks. he should kiss your ass and your car.

his fault so hes paying, dont really see what the huge deal is, just get it quoted at an expensive shop and then go somewhere else to get it fixed and makes a little money on the side

Ok I was over at my parents house today. It is nice that they are local and I have something to drive and a dry place to store my busted car. I took it out for a spin and came back and took a few pics. Hope these are better for you. I know the wheels are dirty from driving in the rain, but I am not gonna wash the car until I get it back from the shop anyway. Oh yeah, I used black spline drive lugs from Gorilla. Center caps weren't shipped with my wheels. I will have those on Wednesday. And for all you with TPMS, the sensors fit perfectly with no issues on these wheels.

Looks HOT! I need someone to photoshop those rims onto my car...any request?

Thanks for getting those outside pics for me. I noticed that your brake rotors aren't rusted, you must be pickey like me (In a good way:) )

Holy s***!

AG man, that totally blows. I would have freaked out on his ass and then later would have had to gone back and apoligize for the verbal assult. Now you have one to hang over his ass.

I just had a Chevy extended cab with a cap on it as well as a plow drive over the left front of my car this past Jan. Just some very minor damage for as bad as the accident was but still $750.00. The dumb ass dealer had to put a new rim on the car but forgot to tighten all the lugs and one came of and gouged the brand new rim. I took it back and made them put on a new one. I hope your dealer is better than that.

As for the rims, those look sweet! Do they make the car sit "stockier?" I mean how much wider are they from stock? I have always felt the cars OE wheels/tires were a little too narrow.

Looks great though!

Thanks for the condolences....

The car does have a "beefier" stance I guess you could say. I attribute it to two things, the offset of the wheels, pushes them out a tad. They are also an inch wider than stock (7.5 vs 6.5). The tires are also a good deal wider than stock, but not taller. I am pleased with the overall look, I just need to get the damage repaired.

Hye ag....i have those tires (goodyear g-force) on mine as well...What do you think of them ? I love them on a good warm day and there not to bad in the rain either but the snow ha these things blow had mine for almost yr now but over all im happy with the tires and i have to say thanks for the pics now i know what black wheels will look like on my 3 now VERY NICE!
