Hi i'm new here,

I bought a 2007 cx-9 GT with Nav yesterday. I love it. Happy to get ride of my Volvo S70. Big upgrade ;).

Ureiken,
If you happen to visit a dealer, ask them to check if all the recalls for a 2007
have been completed. If not, do them while you are there.
If you register as an owner on mazdausa.com, you can see if there are any recalls
on your vehicles. Also, some online manuals to download for free plus services coupons
(often better deals than what are on their own website!).

Congrats and Welcome!

I just turned over 42k on my '07 GT. If you still have the Bridgestone Duellers tires on, do yourself a favor and get a different set (Yokohama Paradas have worked great so far on mine since I replaced the Duellers at 26k).

Also check for rust on the tailgate right above the license plate where the plastic trim piece is located.

As mentioned earlier, check the recall and TSBs (no biggies) and get them fixed if necessary... http://www.finishlineperformance.com/store/pages.php?pageid=15

Thank you for your advice! I live in Canada and there is a lot of snow here, I notice that my 4WD light flash everytime the car is slipping, is this a normal behaviour?

Yes. According to the owner's manual for the 2007 CX-9 with AWD, this is normal when the AWD is engaged due to tire slippage... (Mine is FWD only)
"AWDWarning Light...
This warning light stays on for a few seconds when the ignition switch is turned
to the ON position. Thereafter, the warning light will illuminate or flash under the following
conditions:
- Illuminates when there is an abnormality with the AWD system.
- Flashes when the differential oil temperature is abnormally high.
- Flashes when there are continually large differences between front and rear wheel rotation, such as when trying to pull away from an icy surface. If the AWD warning light illuminates: If the AWD warning light illuminates, contact an Authorized Mazda Dealer.
If the AWD warning light flashes: Park the vehicle in a safe place. After a few moments; if the warning light stops flashing, you can resume driving. If the light does not stop flashing, contact an Authorized Mazda Dealer."

Funny that I have never seen the AWD light flashed during the past 3 years....
I guess if the light stop flashes, all is well.

Finally go to the dealer for inspection. They will replace the transfer case under warranty 5y/60miles. Ceric you're right, the 4WD light should normally stay off.
