Filled motor mounts vs. motor mounts/inserts

look for 3m window sealant. They usually have it at napa or checkers. Its like $10-20 bucks

i have stock mounts on my car but i already got the front one replaced 3 times already and i just decided to get a AWR solid mount, do you guys think is that ok bcause this is my commute car. any answer will be appreciated, thanks!!

I don't know from experience, but according to most ppl, the motor mounts increase vibration significantly. So....it wouldn't be a problem if you don't mind some extra vibration. Plus, you're not replacing all 4 mounts, just the front one, so it could be worse.

I have a question, what purpose does changing motor mounts serve?

Stiffer mounts make the car more responsive because the stockers are soft and some of the torque from the engine is lost when the soft stock mounts allow the engine to rotate or shift slightly. They also help prevent cracking in your exhaust piping since there isn't as much engine jerk when you floor it.

I don't have first hand experience, so someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Edit: I completely missed the second page of this thread lol, so I just repeated a bunch of s***. Sorry.

FWIW, I have inserts, and the vibes are only negligible...not bad at all! Plus, less mess with the install too!

i need to do this. just soft enough for little vibration but hard enough to stiffen it. (get your mind out of the gutter lol)

hey guys i already got the AWR mount on the car and the vibration is minimun even when the AC is on, the car feels better when i bounce on 1st gear i really love how my car drives now.. thanks for all ur comments

Sincerely
George
