What are the benefits of one over the other? I know if I were to buy anything, I'd paint it, so the carbon fiber "look" isn't a selling point for me. I notice a big price difference though.

Thanx

The biggest deal with CF vs. Fiberglass is strength and quality. You didn't say but im assuming you might be referring to a hood?I have owned a lot of different body kits hood and misc. other aftermarket parts and i have only one thing to say about these,YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!I' have had body kits and hoods that fit better than factory ,but i've also had bumpers come in that were literally 2'' too wide for the car. This required me cutting the bumper in half and doing a weeks worth of work to get it to fit right!Do your homework on what you are going to buy and remember that YOU DO GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR !That means dont jump on ebay and buy that once in a lifetime deal as it will probably cost you more in the long run!

What Matt said.
Also...For something like a lower lip, c/f is a good idea because it's much stronger than fiberglass. Other than that, it's also a bit lighter, but not that much.
It's so pricy because C/F is trickier to work with than fiberglass, and the bulk cloth/resin is more expensive, too.

I was mostly thinking of the lower lip and sides

But thank you for the information. (2thumbs)
