Few questions about crank pulley and larger throttle body

what about the corksport throttle body. like 230 bucks? an extra 5mm. I was going to get that next

I don't think it is 5mm larger. The autoexe one is.
I called Corksport on Saturday and asked them how much it was bored and the person who answered the phone said it was 8mm, which the wall are not that thick or are real close to that size.

I sent me Throttle Body to proflow design, they said they will bore it about 3mm and slim down the butterfly in the TB. They say this yeild the most gains.

Mine should be done this week, and it was $185 shipped back to me.
If you are interested I will keep you updated.

I called Jim @ proflow design regarding my TB
It will be shipped friday back to me... :)

Bored specs:
55mm - 57mm to plate
58mm - 61mm Inlet tapered
Removed 50% of TB plate shaft.

Jim said that this should be a noticeable difference, and I should have better throttle response.

I will post pics when it arrives...

Oops, yeah that is the autoexe tb. Did corksport say how much larger there's was?
Corksport said they bore to 60mm

I have the bored TB installed. I have had the car in storage all winter, so I am not used to driving it. I would have to say though that the Throttle response has Definitely improved.

Here are some pics of the stock TB vs. Bored TB

58mm-61mm Inlet taper

I had the Unorthodox Crank/Street pulleys on my old car - a 1987 Porsche 944 (non-turbo). I could feel the difference and I owned the car a year or so after those were put on and I had no engine trouble at all. Hopefully the same will hold true for the MSP pulleys as I will most likely be getting them soon.

Removeing half the shaft on the TB there is a pretty clever idea, I might have to try that one some time.

You can still use the same intake.

My throttle was more responsive..

when you bored out the oem tb, you could still use the same intake right? did you notice any gains?

throttle body

I was just thinking of doing that to my msp. i had a buddy that bored his out and noticed a difference. I was on a cherokee though. I then was thinking it may be easier to put a spacer in instead of messing around with the stock one in case it needs to be serviced. I work at a machine shop and prob could have spacers made for about 50-60 bucks. If anyone is interested let me know. I was also thinking of pulleys, bov, and mbc. I of course will be using my car as the ginny pig first.
