They seemed to crack down pretty hard a couple years ago, but I havent heard too many people having problems lately. I drove around for 2 years with 35% on the front windows of my GTP, never once having an issue and being pulled over a couple times for speeding. Never even had the tint mentioned. So figured I'd take a chance and go 20% on the MS6. It just looks too good not to.
I find the whole fining for tint thing rediculous anyway. Had this argument with my buddy in law enforcement the day after I got the car tinted. His argument was that it isn't safe for officers approaching the car. I argued that my car is 20 all around. You can see inside the car, it isnt 5%. And yet 5% on the back windows is completely legal... you can't see s*** while you're approaching the car. You could have three dudes in the back seat pointing a gun at you while you walk up from behind the car and not even know they're in there. At least with 20 you know how many occupants are in the car.
As far as I'm concerned, it's just another cash cow money grab.
P.S. hey Steef, you wouldn't happen to remember the dimensions on the filter on the end of the MS CAI would you? I'm gonna try out one of those Injen Hydro Shields, and I don't know which size to grab. I'm lazy and am trying to avoid taking it out to measure it up.
