ferarri style shift plate

eh, gated shifters = missed gears. i sucked driving a ferrari. i missed so much just cuz of the damn gates. well, i sucked driving stick then anyways...

id be down for one too...depending on what it looked like installed. WE NEED PICS!!! =)

haha good research flat i think it would be great to be produced but only for short shifters. the reason hazard it would be so hard to make would be you would have to all your measurements excatly and micronmeters arent fun hah.

well as someone pointed out on the previous page, the picture thats provided in the 1st post IS EXACTLY THE SAME as the one at the ferrari website. No wonder this guy (who created this thread) doesnt answer. I bet this is bogous. Sux to be a liar.

owned (2thumbs)

hahah^^

it still would be nice to have a shift plate that he suposeably (sp?) made instead of having the s*** boot, i think it would look wicked cool :D

the cost can be explained though, the CAD designs with exacting measurements, the super high end machinery it takes to cut wedges of metal that thick and hard to those CAD designs without error....then you have the finish the edges, surface and so forth, then seal it(this is assuming no logos or anything engraved or painted on it) pakage and ship which the last two can be dropped.

still no 300bux but getting it done doesnt seem easy, we will see what the first few look like installed and how well it shifts, missed gearing isnt really a problem with a gated plate like that as long as the tension on the shifter is right, notice how when you push the shifter left it feels like a spring is pushing it back towards the middle, thats what helps you get from 2nd to 3rd and so forth. Gotta be relaxed when doing it which is a hard thing when driving a ferrari.

the point of the shift plate is so you don't have to use a boot. it'll go well with a silver knob
Right, but my point is that the shifter WITHOUT the boot looks like ass.
