I did lower the fronts to 30. I run them a bit overinflated on the road, because (on other cars) I have found that factory specs tend to wear the outsides of the tires a little quick. time will tell if that is the case on this one. I think next time I will lower them a bit more, and I was thinking about pumping up the back ones. nice to see someone thinks the same way that I do... take the speed to the track and run that b****!
I didn't mean to be an a-hole earlier. I haven't seen more than 1 or 2 people claiming lower than a 2.2 60' time. also, I think they had aftermarket tires and maybe wheels, so I am happy with the time. there's always room for improvement though. as with anything.

Before you turn your key to the on position hold the dsc button in and then start the car and keep holding it in for a few seconds after the car is running.You will then notice that the dsc off light will stay on and also the light with the car sliding will also stay on.If you just hit the dsc button the light for the sliding car thing will not come on.Im guessing that is the stability control light.Just tring to clear things up a bit.

as I said before, I know how to do that thing, whatever it does... and I think I did it by accident for one run, because I had an extra light on in the dash that I didn't recognize. it's not that I'm saying that light doesn't come on, its just that if my wheels are not having a problem spinning out of control, I have a hard time believing that the traction control is still on. I don't know how traction could be any more uncontrolled than it already was.

I left it at home today. hopefully I'll remember it tomorrow to scan. also, if I want to lie to someone in order to impress them, I wouldn't do it on the internet, I'd do it in real life. all the same, hopefully I remember it. I'll write it in sharpie on my forehead.
yeah but I just don't see how it could be different than when I turn the DSC off. maybe other people are experiencing something different than I am...(shrug)

ahh ok i meant you said the same thing for like a week when u ran 13.9.. but u did come thru with a slip.. not to doubt u, but as yur numbers get better and better u need a slip. I don't need a slip cuase i run a lousy 14.6.lol

I think people are confusing Traction control and Dynamic Stability Control.
Traction Control applies to the drive wheels (in this case the fronts) and reduces throttle when it detects slipping.
(in some cars without an LSD traction control applies the brake to the tire that is spinning faster, thus balancing the load and helping power get transfered to the tire with traction this is also known as traction control though the purpose and methodology are somewhat different)
Dynamic Stability Control attempts to keep the rear wheels following the front wheels by applying the brakes to specific wheels thus helping to aviod spinouts. I don't know the exact specifics of how it works, but it wouldn't be too hard to figure out.
I have never heard of the trick people are talking about but it is possible that doing it turns Traction Control Off, while leaving DSC on.
Nice times, I don't drag the MS3 because it is just a bit depressing after coming from motorcycles, but that is between what I used to run with my EX500 and my ZX-6R, so it is certainly moving fast for a car.

ZX-6R, me too. (thumb) My goal is to take the car to the same track (road corse and/or strip) as I run with the bike and see which I can do better on. This particular track (road portion) is pretty balanced between cars and bikes. An RX-8 with a decent driver runs about as fast as a decent rider on a ZX-6R on this track. A really good rider can beat a car, though, but I'm FAR from that.
