Hey guys, im looking to get rid of my 94 fd3s rx7 and get a daily driver/ something i wouldnt mind bringing more places and the such. Also want it to autocross.
Obviously going from a FD id prefer something that handles very well, light weight, and because i want a more livable car back seats and other things. But in the end sportiness and responsiveness are def a priority over comfort for me.
So im currently looking into selling the FD and buying a msp or trading for a built msp or something along those lines (car is in the forsale section if anyones interested)
If everyone here had around 10k or under to spend, or was in a similar situation what would you get?
Or better, would you buy your MSP again? or get something else?
I figure its going to be pretty biased, but seeing what everyone else thinks is a capable car or another option.
let me know! and i may be joining the community soon!
Anyone else autocross the philly area? thats where im currently at school

I think you would be very happy with a MSP. Esp with 10k to put down on it you could make a real nice car pretty quickly.

any other opinions? Is this the best car of mix daily and sportiness for the price range?
If you all had to do it over again youd still pick the msp?

I'm assuming you are aware of the shortcomings of this car?? Not sure what expectations you have or power goals... If you plan to stay stock boost and do a few mods 220whp is close to the limit where you need to look into reliability... rods specifically which pretty much go hand in hand with the tune secondly and the differential thirdly... shortly followed by 3rd and 4th gears

yeah been researching it a lot recently. And ill tell you there are a lot of shortcomings for the fd. Can barely mod it without needing to change everything.
So no one likes any other cars here than the msp? im pretty sure its probably the best economy sporty car for the price, but im unsure.

At least there is tons of aftermarket support for the FD (MSP options are getting slimmer and slimmer). For $10k, get a used WRX - 4 doors, 4WD, factory turbo with a motor that is built for it, and tons of aftermarket support. Turbo-back, AP, and STi TMIC and you are knocking on 250+ whp
