Fault codes/Warning Lights

I have a CX 5 4x4 2016 (66 plate) Skyactiv automatic. I get various fault codes that appear suddenly, make any gear changes very clunky, and lose a lot of other functionality!. The only way to clear it is to stop, turn the engine off, then re-start. All then appears to re-set to 'normal'. It is getting more regular, twice in one journey on Thursday and once on Friday. First time it happened was in Aug 2019 and was 'repaired' under warranty. Since then it has happened many times and no one at my local Mazda branch has been able to advise on what is causing it. Pic attached shows the fault lights - ignore the orange triangle as that relates to a vacuum pump issue that is going to be rectified shortly! The right hand screen shows "SCBS Forward Malfunction". I would appreciate the thoughts from fellow owners as to what this is all about. Many thanks Simon

how old is battery?

first, start by unplugging battery for 10+ min to reset the ecu. see if that works.

have it tested (local autozone part source etc.) to rule out weak or old battery. if unsure, change it with a new one.

scan the car for codes.

For the first time as a car owner, I got bit with odd issues like this due to a failing battery. My forward anti-collision system failed to activate a few times on my Titan over the last month. Shutting off and restarting fixed it. Last weekend, truck failed to start. Battery was shot and didn’t realize it was dying, 4 year warranty AGM type that was 3 1/2 years old but unfortunately was installed by previous owner/I didnt have proof of purchase for free replacement. Installed a new battery, truck fires up super fast and confident, forward anti-collision system not complaining anymore.

Our Mazda forum clued me in on that, CX-5s seem prone to these weird issues when the electrical system isn’t healthy.

I had a P0600 code pop up on a 3 year old battery with 120k km on it. Started fine, resting voltage was fine, went away with new battery

Thank you all for your responses. Very helpful, and shows what a great forum this is. My CX5 is due in the garage soon for a new glow plug, so will ask them to check the battery. Think the current one must be 3-4 years old now!!
