fastest msp 1/4 mile time

correct me if i am wrong but is it focus that has that title with a 12.9? if not who does own it? i know superprotege ran an 11.9 or so but he is not an msp so he dont count haha, the reason i ask is i want to know what i have to do to compete with everyone elses times, i will be building a block soon (next month hopefully) and running most likely the t-28 for awhile then go bigger later on along with other mods, the only problem i have is that the track ill be running at has an elevation of 4225 feet. i know i cant compete with the most horsepower so i want to try to shoot for something else haha. basicly my question is do i even have a chance in hell or should i just build it have fun and dont even try for any records haha

thats what i was thinking about doing but just wanted to see others opinions
 
well **** it ill just build it for fun and not try to go after anyones title haha, is it still focus that has the fastest time though???
 
Ya its going to be tough to have the record for the fastest msp, i cant think of his forum name off the top of my head but he lived in FL and moved to spain, ATM he is around 480whp and still claiming lol. So you would have some very very stiff competition. Not sure if focus still has it, the list that was made is pretty old and i dont think has been updated for a long time. But the guy from spain will def. have the fastest 1/4 mile time msp that is still streetable.

But the msp is by the worst turboed drag car ever lol. Build up the power some and with the coils track the SOB, IMO AutoX and road racing are million times more fun the a 1/4 mile.

Plus your elevation is going to hurt too, im in the same boat too with the elevation thing.

yeah ill never catch mazaspeed2oo35 haha, we dont have many autocross events around here everyone likes to go straight haha, i love doing canyon runs though, i know that the msp is not the best drag car haha that is a fact but i do want to have so resect around here haha,, elevation is a b**** factor though haha

ya i hear you on the respect s***, on a local forum i posted up some info and pics about my new motor and pics of the blown and they are saying its a waist you will never hit 12's in the 1/4 blah blah blah. **** straight s***, its boring as hell.... Burnout, sit at a light, it turns green and you go in a straight line till you hit the end and then you turn around and do it all over again. WOW that was so much fun lol.

haha i know what you mean but everyone wants to go straght haha i never ran my car down a track before so i cant talk to much s*** about it but still i would rather be taking cornors hella fast the a line fast haha, it just sucks that drag racing is the cool thing for any car here
 
yeah 2oo3.5 has a ton of money in his car. so you just really dont want to know how much he has in his car.
 
I wish i got to the track with my car. I'm thinking high 12s with my setup. anyone know the fastest time on stock motor?

how much boost your running and what A/F ratio are you tuned at?

But no i dont know the fastest time on a stock motor.
 
It's all about how much traction you're willing to sacrifice drivetrain components for!! I plan to find out this summmer! Low 12's hopefully. Focus with his old setup ran the 12.9 I believe at barely 300whp Juans car did 12.5@112 with around the same power. I am around 340whp and put 1/2 car on my bosses ls7 z06 from 60-120 on a private road. Slicks would be much better!

I know Blkzoomzoom had a 13.15 but I think he did some headwork and thicker head gasket to lower compression.

i plan on doing cams(twiggys if im lucky) cam gears, 5angle pnp head,just alot of things like that, money is a thing but its not going to stop my build you know, i wont be like 2oo3.5 cuz i dont got 22k to drop but i have know problem dropping 12k into it, it sounds stupid but i kinda want to be known for something on here or in the msp world you know
 
Technically, 2003.5's car isnt the quickest.. Yea, it may be the fastest, but its not the quickest since he hasnt went to the track and got any times with it..
 
I say you check out the events at Miller Race park and go run there, will be way more fun!!
