What are my options for making my RX8 faster? I'm not a racing kind of person but I saw a commercial today that says the new Honda Civic is equipped with the same HP as a freakin RX8. I don't want nitro or anything like that. Maybe just some basic mods that will get me more HP? Thanks for reading my stupid question.

Some of the basic mods are cold air intake, header, throttle body spacer, plugs and wires(debatable gains if any), and that's all I can think of right now. All of those combined will yield a small but noticable gain, but by themselves are not much at all. Plus, they're all pretty easy to install.

Pettit is talking about launching some performance kits, but they haven't listed them on their site yet. One is advertised as "dealer friendly"... for those who still have warranty I'd guess. The other sounds a bit more involved. If your not familiar with Pettit racing, they've got quite a history with the rotary, and IMO a good rep with the FD crowd.

correction: the new Si has the same HP rating as the AT rx-8

i usually never post in here but i've been wandering around the forum... $1000 is a pretty sweet price to pay for 50hp, especially reliable NA HP.

That's better than what the last GReddy turbo kit I saw installed. And that's over 3 times as much :-X
