Farking Rock! (damage pictures)

Well I was cruising down the highway last week about to exit. I'm following this big white van, and apparantly there was a trailer a couple of cars in front of him that was carrying a bunch of concrete chunks... Well guess what! they don't stay put so well when it hits a bump, so one flew off and by the time I saw it pass underneath the van in front of me there was nowhere for me to go...


3 - 2 - 1 - WHAM! the car jolted and I splintered that chunk of concrete to peices much to the shrigrin of the truck behind me who probably got showered with chunks...

Not too much damage, a scratch of the lower bumper, mini-dent on the front cross member, and a mostly mangeled heat shield...

I put the car on ramps and took some pics as I re-arranged the heatshield from making a crapload of noise as it rattled against things....

Oh, like that dent in the floor? I'd better not drive into any low water anytiime soon...

Holy concrete chit Batman!!! Thats alot of damage under there.
That sucks major arse that it left a dent and tore the heat shield up along with the dent in the exhaust which will probably rust quicker.

damn, how big was the rock. it looks as if it were a boulder. just be lucky it went under the car and didnt bounce into the windshield or you would have a new pet rock in your passenger seat..................

Count yourself lucky man. I did the same thing late one night going from Vegas to Phoenix and ended up with a 2" hole in my gas tank. I was in the middle of nowhere, in a torrential downpour watching my gas guage dwindle down as the gas came pouring out. Ended up running out of gas about 5 minutes later as I pulled into a "town" consisting of 1 gas station and a 2-room motel. It was a scene straight out of some bad horror movie.

A little JB weld and you should back in no time.

the other night i parked in the driveway. and i came out around 3 to go pick up a friend and what was laying right infront of my front bumper? (i backed into the driveway) a rock the size of a 5 gallon bucket. i tried to kick it out of the way misjudging the size and hurt my foot. i tried to move it over but recentrly my finger was crushed by a jack at work. so.... good luck trying to move that. i had to get a shovel from the garage and push it out of the way. i was all sweatin and s*** when i finished. i get down the block in my car and my friend calls tellin me he's on his way to my house cause i took too long! WTF?!

always use caution when following those friggin trucks or just avoid following them at all. also heard some guy got injured because a 2 by 4 fell off a truck on the highway, blasted thru the windsheild and hit him.

if that's not bad enough, some lady DIED here in Vegas because some Dumb s*** **** Tard Ignorant Sheep Thumper decided to take his car into the gravel shoulder to get around traffic, launching rocks like bullets into her car .... definitely be glad that you're alive, man .... if little ass gravel-sized rocks can kill, imagine what that boulder that went under your car would've done
